ONE OF THE GREATEST RETIRED TODAY

As a young kid, Michael Jordan was my favorite player, and he always will be.  I remember watching him play, then going outside to my hoop and try to make the same plays that he did - of course I had to lower the rim on the dunk plays.  Now, as a grown up, Tim Duncan has become my favorite player to watch.  He will always be behind Jordan for me, but his unselfish and humble attitude is something I'd like to teach my future kids.  He was probably the most fundamental player that I have ever seen.  Heck, he is nicknamed "The Big Fundamental" for a reason.  If you're teaching a child, or coaching a team, on how to play basketball: Tell them to watch old footage of Duncan playing and tell them that basketball doesn't have to be all about dunks, flashy plays and a "me first" attitude.  His bank shot is legendary.  I can't imagine that game will ever have another like him.
